Project funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation (Symposia and conferences), grant NNF23OC0087637. Participating organisations named by the source: DTU Technical University of Denmark. Runs n/a to 2024-12-31. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-08-01); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: The 2024 European Seminar on Computational Methods in Quantum Chemistry (ESCMQC-2024) will see a unique line-up of young (45-year age limit), leading researchers and scientists from both academia and industry meet up at the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters in central Copenhagen to discuss topics of key interests to the Novo Nordisk Foundation: noisy intermediate-scale quantum computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence, the development of new electronic-structure algorithms, as well as emerging applications of these within chemistry and life sciences at large. The ESCMQC-2024 meeting will be promoted as an NNF flagship event, featuring a total of 30 invited speakers from across Europe and 3 plenary speakers from the US. The meeting will further host a dedicated poster session, allowing for the target audience of talented PhD students and postdocs to disseminate their research and visions for the future of theoretical chemistry, physics, and biology.
