About this portal
Quantum Europe is a public observatory of quantum technologies in Europe. It brings together research projects funded by the EU and by national funders, the organisations taking part, infrastructure, funding calls, jobs, events, documents and policy, all from public sources. Every record names its source and links to it; the source stays authoritative.
Status
The portal is a demonstration: a working site that is still being built and reviewed. It is not an official service of the European Union or of the Quantum Flagship, and it is independent of the Quantum Flagship website qt.eu. Its figures describe what the portal holds, not the whole European quantum sector.
Who runs it
The portal is run by the Quantum Europe platform team for the portal owner, Oscar Diez, who operates this demonstration in a personal capacity. Its texts and legal pages are owner-reviewed for demonstration (28 October 2026). That is not a review by IE Communications, IE Legal or the Data Protection Officer, which a real launch needs.
Who it is for
Researchers, companies and investors, public authorities and policy makers, and students looking for courses and jobs. Most pages are public; some tools for European Commission and Member State staff need an approved account.
Where the data comes from
Automatic connectors read open data from CORDIS, the EU Funding & Tenders Portal, TED, national research funders, OpenAIRE, OpenAlex and other public sources, daily to weekly. Lists such as the infrastructure catalogue and the funding instruments are compiled by hand from official pages, each with the date it was checked. All data sources, licences and last runs; how items are placed in the four technology pillars; open data downloads.
Reuse and citation
The portal’s own texts and compilations are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Data from other sources keeps the licence of its source. Press kit, key figures and how to cite the portal.
Contact
The portal has no public mailbox yet. To report an error, a missing record or a problem with a page, use the suggestion form; no account is needed, and you may leave an e-mail address if you want to hear the outcome. Members can also use the feedback form (sign-in needed). Questions about your personal data or accessibility can be sent the same way; the privacy notice and the accessibility statement explain what happens next.
