1. Accounts
Anyone may register. The account is activated once you confirm your e-mail address; access to the areas for Commission and Member State staff is approved separately by an authoriser, and editing rights by an editor or administrator. We may refuse, suspend or close an account that is inaccurate, unused for a long time or misused. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you suspect misuse.
Restricted tools and their exports are for your work in the role you were given. Do not pass them on outside that role.
2. Acceptable use
- Do not try to get round access controls, test the portal's security or overload it.
- Do not collect data automatically beyond the published downloads and their rate limits.
- Do not send unlawful, misleading or infringing material, or other people's personal data without a lawful basis.
3. What you send us
You are responsible for the suggestions and feedback you send and confirm that you may share them. Editors review every suggestion; they may use, edit or reject it, and records added from it become part of the portal's compilations. Added records never show who sent the suggestion. The privacy notice explains what is kept.
4. Downloads and reuse
The open data downloads may be reused under the licence each one states: the portal's own compilations under CC BY 4.0, data from other sources under the licence of its source. Keep the attribution. Downloads are rate-limited to keep the service available.
5. The service
The portal is a demonstration and is provided as it is. Pages, features and data can change or be unavailable at any time. AI-assisted texts are labelled and can contain errors. The legal notice sets out accuracy, liability and reuse.
6. Law and changes
Owner-reviewed for demonstration, 28 October 2026. Not stated yet on this demonstration site: the governing law and how disputes are resolved.
We may update these terms; the date of the change is shown on this page.
