Benchmark: MQT Bench
Benchmarks / Application level (algorithms and use cases)
A shared set of benchmark circuits for evaluating compilers and other quantum software tools.

How it is measured
More than 70,000 circuits from 2 to 130 qubits at four levels of abstraction, through a web interface and a Python package.
Limitations and criticisms
- Benchmarks software tools on circuits; it does not by itself measure hardware quality.
Used in European procurements
- Used in: EuroHPC procurement Euro-Q-Exa (Optional, at the choice of the tenderer)
- Used in: EuroHPC procurement LUMI-Q (now VLQ) (Required in the benchmark suite (scored under the award criteria))
- Used in: EuroHPC procurement MeluXina-Q (Required in the benchmark suite (scored under the award criteria); Named as a reference implementation)
As the tender documents state; how a benchmark is weighted against others is described in each procurement.
