How it is measured
An open-source suite of 16 or more benchmark programs in five levels, from Deutsch-Jozsa and Bernstein-Vazirani to Grover, phase and amplitude estimation, HHL, Monte Carlo, Hamiltonian simulation, VQE, Shor, MaxCut and image recognition, run across SDKs and devices.
Limitations and criticisms
- Small instances only; good results do not prove an advantage.
- Vendors run it themselves.
Used in European procurements
- Used in: EuroHPC procurement LUMI-Q (now VLQ) (Named as a reference implementation)
- Used in: EuroHPC procurement EuroSSQ-HPC (Named as a reference implementation)
As the tender documents state; how a benchmark is weighted against others is described in each procurement.
