Project funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation (Programmes and collaborations), grant NNF21OC0070832. Participating organisations named by the source: KU University of Copenhagen. Runs 2025-12-31 to n/a. Keywords: Chemistry, Condensed matter, Nanotechnology, Physics, Quantum Technologies. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-08-01); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: The realisation of a general purpose Quantum Computer (QC) is currently one of the most ambitious technological goals. QCs are devices that exploit genuine quantum properties of matter, such as superposition states or entanglement, allowing them to outperform today’s best supercomputers (Quantum Supremacy) for some specific types of computations. Attaining Quantum Supremacy will fundamentaly change the way in which we process, search and share information and thus have transformative impact on society. However, the currently used materials present serious limitations for the realisation of general purpose QCs mainly due to the need for implementation of quantum error correction._x000D_ We propose herein to use isotopically pure lanthanide-based molecular magnetic materials coupled to properly designed superconducting circuits as a hybrid Quantum Processing Unit and aim to establish the suitability of molecular magnetic materials as components of futur Quantum Information Technology devices.
