Project funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation (Investigators), grant NNF23OC0083201. Participating organisations named by the source: KU University of Copenhagen. Runs n/a to 2030-12-31. Keywords: Chemistry, Materials, Photonics, Physics, Quantum Technologies. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-08-01); national funding data, not CORDIS; selected because its keywords name quantum. Abstract given by the source: The realisation of a Quantum Computer (QC) is currently one of the most ambitious technological goals. QCs are devices that exploit quantum properties of matter, such as superposition and entanglement, allowing them to outperform today’s best supercomputers (Quantum Advantage) for specific types of computations. Attaining Quantum Advantage will fundamentally change the way we process, search and share information and thus have transformative impact on society. However, the currently used materials present serious limitations for the realisation of general purpose QCs mainly due to the need for implementation of quantum error correction. Molecular materials offer possibilities to circumvent some of these limitations._x000D_ We propose herein to demonstrate coherent manipulation of lanthanide-based molecular magnetic materials by electric fields and their interfacing to photons. This will establish molecular materials as prime components for the construction of Quantum Information devices._x000D_
