Operation co-funded by EU cohesion policy (European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)) under the programme Smart growth - PL - ERDF (2014PL16RFOP001), managing authority: Ministerstwo obsługujące ministra właściwego ds. rozwoju regionalnego. The source names no beneficiary for this operation. Location: Warszawski zachodni (NUTS PL913); Poland. Budget: total eligible expenditure EUR 1,612,832.18; EU co-financing EUR 1,116,790.83 (co-financing rate 69.24%), as stated by the source. Runs 2020-09-01 to 2023-10-31. Source: Kohesio, EU cohesion policy projects managed by national and regional authorities (not CORDIS). Summary from Kohesio (English machine translation by the source): Number_reference_aid_programme: SA.41471(2015/X) Purpose of public aid: Article 25 of EC Regulation No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application The aim of the project is to investigate, refine and commercialise specific electronic solutions responding to two sub-layered needs of applications using quantum phenomena: 1. Control through fast and precise generation of low noise signals and 2. control with ultra-precision time synchronisation. Such hardware solutions are essential for research and the creation of quantum technologies based in particular on ion traps and superconducting qubits. These technologies are used in the intensively developed quantum computers, atomic clocks, time and frequency patterns, high-sensitivity sensor systems, gravimeters, and in the study of chemical properties of particles and biomolecules. The project will use scientific literature and open hardware license (OHL) models of control and measurement solutions. They were created in response to the needs of scientific units (both in Europe and the United States) involved in the study of ion trap systems. However, they are underdeveloped (TRL3-TRL5) and are not suitable for commercial production at this stage. As part of the project, these models of electronic solutions will be examined, refined, and manufactured prototypes subjected to professional testing in the Applicant’s R &D department. The project will also design professional methods of testing new solutions, which are the basis not only for research, but also for subsequent commercialisation. The project will result in a set of new products (TRL 7), which will be implemented in the applicant’s business activity.
