Project funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation (Projects), grant NNF20OC0065479. Participating organisations named by the source: Aarhus University. Runs n/a to 2025-12-31. Keywords: Chemistry, Physics, Quantum Technologies. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-08-01); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: Nature consists of collections of atoms that form the molecules and materials that make up our bodies and the physical world around us. The molecular picture is the key insight of modern science and it has been the major driver behind most of the technological advances in the recent past. However, when we seek to expand our understanding of molecular matter through simulations on classical computers, we are facing the challenge that as we consider larger and larger systems, the computation time grows so fast that it quickly exceeds human lifespans. Instead, computing devices that utilize the microphysical laws of quantum mechanics have been proposed as fast and effective simulators of real-world molecules. In EQCQC we explore how to leverage quantum devices for quantum chemistry that go beyond what is possible with classical computers, in search of a quantum leap in accuracy and applicability that could revolutionize computational chemistry and its impact on life and health sciences._x000D_
