Project funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P. (FCT), grant 2023.03897.BD. Runs 2024-04-01 to 2027-03-31. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-07-20); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: This project aims at progressing beyond the state-of-the-art in Computer Aided Cryptography by developing new extensions to the EasyCrypt-Jasmin toolchain and demonstrating its applicability to post-quantum-secure algorithms with real-world impact. The candidate will use the Jasmin language to provide an optimized Jasmin implementation of digital-signature constructions in the PICNIC family and prove its security using EasyCrypt. First, the candidate will provide proof of security for the KKW protocol (the basis for PICNIC). In the second stage, this proof will include optimizations required to cover the more competitive versions of PICNIC and connect the security proof to the Jasmin implementation via a functional equivalence argument. The project will include, as intermediate steps, several results of independent interest. These include formal verification of the security and implementation of the underlying secure multi-party computation (MPC) protocols and the analysis of modular transformations related to the MPC-in-the-Head paradigm in the Quantum Random Oracle Model.
