Project funded by Swedish Research Council (Project grant), grant 2013-08700_VR. Participating organisations named by the source: KTH, Royal Institute of Technology. Funded amount: SEK 100,000, as stated by the source. Runs 2013-01-01 to 2013-12-31. Keywords: Naturvetenskap, Natural Sciences, Fysik, Physical Sciences, Atom- och molekylfysik och optik, Atom and Molecular Physics and Optics. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-12-04); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: The conference, arranged by the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics (NORDITA), will bring together leading researchers to discuss recent theoretical and experimental results concerning the engineering of quantum states in condensed matter and cold-atom systems, with a special eye on realizations in devices and novel materials for quantum information processing. The conference is part of a four-week program to be held at NORDITA, and is planned for August 18-22 2014, with about 100 participants. Of these, some forty are invited speakers. NORDITA has granted a total of SEK 500 000 for the full four-week program, of which roughly 300 000 SEK will be allocated for the conference. In this application to VR we ask for supplementary funding to cover travel and accommodation for eight experimentalists who will be invited to participate in the conference and deliver overview talks of the state-of-the-art in experimentation in their respective fields.
