Project funded by Swedish Research Council (Project grant), grant 2010-05126_VR. Participating organisations named by the source: KTH, Royal Institute of Technology. Funded amount: SEK 99,400, as stated by the source. Runs 2010-01-01 to 2010-12-31. Keywords: Oklassificerat, Unclassified. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-12-06); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: The conference, arranged jointly by the European Science Foundation network INSTANS and NORDITA, will address fundamental questions encountered in the modern physics of low-dimensional matter, with focus on phenomena in electronic and cold atom systems driven by quantum effects and strong interactions. The conference is part of a four-week workshop held at NORDITA, and is planned for September 6 - 10, 2010, with some 100 participants. Of these, 30 are invited speakers. The total budget is 75000 Euro (approved by INSTANS and NORDITA). Of this money INSTANS requires us to use 10000 Euro for support of travel and sustenance for junior participants (Ph.D. students and postdocs), requiring additional funding of the same amount in order to cover travel and sustenance for five of the invited speakers from the US (this application).
