Project funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation (Projects), grant NNF20OC0065610. Participating organisations named by the source: KU University of Copenhagen. Runs n/a to 2024-08-31. Keywords: Chemistry, Materials, Physics, Quantum Technologies. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-08-01); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: Building a Quantum Computer (QC) is currently intensively pursued both in academia and the industry, by technologic giants such as, for example, Microsoft, IBM and Google. Very recently, Google announced it achieved Quantum Supremacy with their prototype Sycamore quantum processor incorporating 53 superconducting qubits. However, despite Google’s achievement, it is_x000D_ _x000D_ widely accepted that the realisation of future general purpose QCs will not be solely based on superconducting qubits but will require additional components to account for quantum error corrections. Molecular magnetic materials are expected to be incorporated in next generation Quantum Information technology devices. To this purpose the capability to address and manipulate_x000D_ _x000D_ magnetic moments at the molecular level is a prerequisite. The magnetic properties of chiral magnetic materials can be manipulated at the molecular level. We will synthesise such chiral Ln-based molecular materials and will integrate these into devices.
