Project funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation (Programmes and collaborations), grant NNF24OC0095967. Participating organisations named by the source: DTU Technical University of Denmark. Runs n/a to 2028-08-31. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2026-06-29); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: Fast and precise biomolecular identification is crucial to provide immediate intervention in patients with certain clinical conditions. Optical spectroscopies that probe how molecules interact with light are powerful tools to analyze the content of patient’s blood. Among them, Raman spectroscopy utilizes specific interactions between matter and light. The interactions lead to a unique pattern of photons wavelengths specific for a given molecule. The spectrum serves as a signature or an inherent molecular ‘ID tag’. We will enrich the information to be harvested from the Raman spectrum by developing an innovative quantum optical biosensor. It is in essence a mirror-lined cavity harboring the bio-sample while being exposed to laser light to obtain an even more informative spectrum. This enriched Raman spectroscopy is assumed to yield more precise, more detailed, faster, and more comprehensive identification of molecular species for biomedical diagnostics._x000D_
