Project funded by Swedish Research Council (Grant for positions or stipends), grant 2016-03905_VR. Participating organisations named by the source: KTH, Royal Institute of Technology. Funded amount: SEK 3,200,000, as stated by the source. Runs 2017-01-01 to 2020-12-31. Keywords: Naturvetenskap, Natural Sciences, Fysik, Physical Sciences, Atom- och molekylfysik och optik, Atom and Molecular Physics and Optics. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-12-05); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: Photons are ideal carriers of quantum information, as demonstrated in quantum cryptography experiments. Schemes for quantum information processing based on photons have been proposed, but practical implementations were limited due to the lack of scalability and hybrid integration. In QT, fully-integrated qubit generation, manipulation, and detection will be demonstrated all-on-chip through embedding quantum emitters in a CMOS compatible platform. Recently, Aluminum Nitride photonics established the required properties for low loss transmission while offering electro-optic properties to control photons. Ultra-fast photon switching, multiplexing, storage, and entanglement manipulation will be accomplished on-chip using active Aluminum Nitride optical elements. Detection will be achieved with ~100% efficiency through integrated super-conducting-single-photon detectors. After optimizing different elements in the transceiver, the aim is to realize multiphoton interference on-chip, far beyond the state of the art experiments of two photon interference. This novel all-on-chip multiphoton interference will outperform the current sensing and capacity limits of any classical analogue. The 1st year will focus on source integration, passive optical elements, and low temperature detector-film characterization. During the 2nd and 3rd year, switching, storage and detector integration are investigated, while in the 4th year a full quantum transceiver and multiphoton experiments are realized
