Operation co-funded by EU cohesion policy (European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)) under the programme Integrated Infrastructure - SK - ERDF/CF (2014SK16M1OP001), managing authority: Ministerstvo dopravy a výstavby SR. Beneficiary: Fyzikálny ústav Slovenskej akadémie vied. Location: Bratislava Region (NUTS SK010); Slovakia. Budget: total eligible expenditure EUR 258,241.64; EU co-financing EUR 219,505.39 (co-financing rate 85%), as stated by the source. Runs 2016-01-01 to 2019-01-12. Source: Kohesio, EU cohesion policy projects managed by national and regional authorities (not CORDIS); selected because its summary names quantum technology. Summary from Kohesio (English machine translation by the source): The aim of the project is the study of low-dimensional materials and nanomaterials prepared by rapid cooling by complementary methods of advanced diagnostics, combining microscopic methods in direct space and mapping of X-ray variance in reciprocal space. The project also aims to stabilise the applicant’s high-quality research teams in the field of research and development of new nanomaterials and nanoforms and to enable the independent R & D activity to be realised by 31.12.2019 with the relevant project outputs. The implementation of the project has 1 activity and two sub-activities, which address 4 common research topics, but differ in the diagnostic methods used depending on the place of implementation. The focus of the project is at the FÚ SAS in Piešt’any, where experiments of large- and small-angle X-ray dispersion, including oblique impact (GI-Waxs, GI-SAXS) and complex projection probe microscopy are carried out, supplemented by fluorescent analysis and suitably selected samples will then be studied using accrued in-situ GI-Waxs/SAXS variance in Bratislava and supplemented by time-resolution studies using Raman Confocal Microscopy (CRM) and spectroscopic elipsometries. The output of the project will be new knowledge of basic research in the field of low dimensional materials such as 2D materials and quantum dots, nanoobjects in metal matrices as well as unequal amorphous and nanocrystalline materials, which will be published in renowned international journals and at international scientific conferences, including invited lectures. No less important output will be the further development of experimental methods, especially in the field of small-angle dispersion X-ray, where the project will develop measurement protocols and software necessary for experimental management and evaluation of experimental data.
