Project funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation (Projects), grant NNF23OC0082985. Participating organisations named by the source: KU University of Copenhagen. Runs n/a to 2025-12-31. Keywords: Data Science, Engineering, Nanoscience. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-08-01); national funding data, not CORDIS; selected because its summary names quantum technology. Abstract given by the source: Good hardware is only as good as the software used to operate it, and quantum hardware is no different. Quantum technology is a rapidly developing and commercialising sector, with breakthrough applications in harnessing energy sources, materials and fundamental science underpinning a sustainable future. However, as researchers and companies start to make quantum processors larger and larger, they encounter a bottleneck in its operation, because of the lack of intelligent control software. Our project and spin-out activities will bring together quantum physicists and experts in machine learning and algorithms to develop precise and scalable control software for quantum processors.
