Project funded by Swedish Research Council (Project grant), grant 2016-03503_VR. Participating organisations named by the source: Stockholm University. Funded amount: SEK 4,200,000, as stated by the source. Runs 2017-01-01 to 2020-12-31. Keywords: Naturvetenskap, Natural Sciences, Fysik, Physical Sciences, Subatomär fysik, Subatomic Physics. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-12-05); national funding data, not CORDIS. Abstract given by the source: The proposed project will involve research in string theory and gauge theory and the connection between these two disciplines. The project will make use of the apparent integrability found in both theories to further explore the relationships between string theory and gauge theories with a large number of colors. Furthermore, the project will consider correlation functions derived from string amplitudes to study aspects of conformal field theories. This includes comparing results from the AdS/CFT correspondence to recent results from the bootstrap program. The project will also develop new techniques to study localized supersymmetric gauge theories. This includes finding localized solutions with fewer number of supersymmetries and solutions on more generalized manifolds.
