Project funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P. (FCT) (SERVIA), grant DRI/SERVIA/5514/2020. Funded amount: EUR 4,000, as stated by the source. Runs 2020-01-01 to 2021-12-31. Keywords: MacDowell-Mansouri gravity, 2-Lie groups, BFCG theory, quantum algebras. Source: OpenAIRE Graph, from the funder's project data (collected by OpenAIRE on 2025-07-21); national funding data, not CORDIS; selected because its keywords name quantum. Abstract given by the source: Neste projeto iremos explorar o papel das simetrias na física quântica, e vamos nos concentrar em uma interseção de Teoria dos Campos Quânticos, Relatividade Geral e sistems integráveis quânticos. In this project we will explore the role of symmetries in quantum physics, and we will focus on an intersection of Quantum Field Theories, General Relativity and quantum integrable sistems. In particular we will study the MacDowell-Mansouri formulation of General Relativity and the issuses of internal and Lorentz symmetry breaking in the case of the one-loop effective action. We will also explore the integrability of the symmetry reduced MDM models and related BFCG models by using the techniques from the quantum integrable models.
