Project funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P. (FCT), grant 2024.01084.BD. Runs 2024-09-01 to 2028-08-31. Abstract given by the source: Recently measurement-induced phase transitions have been identified in the entanglement properties of many-body quantum systems that cannot be detected in the dissipative dynamics obtained through averaging over quantum trajectories. This thesis aims to investigate these transitions in collective spin models that provide a simplified analytical framework. Our objectives include identifying and characterizing measurement-induced transitions, identifying their signatures in the measurement record, exploring the robustness of these transitions across different unravelings, and investigating the phases stabilized once quantum feedback control is introduced. Beyond fundamental interest, this research holds relevance for designing quantum protocols for quantum sensing and error correction in quantum computing.
