Calendar feeds: events and closing dates in your calendar
Events: 4 views
A calendar feed is a web address that your calendar app reads again and again. Add it once, and new Quantum Europe events and closing dates appear next to your own appointments. When a date changes on the portal, it changes in your calendar too.
Every entry is a whole-day entry with a link to its page. The official page of each event, call, tender or job is always the one to trust for times and conditions.

All calendar feeds
- All events: Events that are on now or start in the next twelve months. https://quantumeurope.diezao.org/quantum-europe/events.ics
- Open EU funding calls: The closing date of every open EU funding call on the portal. https://quantumeurope.diezao.org/quantum-europe/opportunities/deadlines.ics?kind=call
- All closing dates: Calls, public tenders and jobs, by closing date. https://quantumeurope.diezao.org/quantum-europe/opportunities/deadlines.ics
- EU programme pipeline: When upcoming EU quantum funding topics are expected to open and close. https://quantumeurope.diezao.org/quantum-europe/opportunities/pipeline.ics
- Standards and post-quantum deadlines: Verified dates of standards and of moving to post-quantum cryptography. https://quantumeurope.diezao.org/quantum-europe/standards/deadlines.ics
- One event: every event page has an "Add to calendar" file of its own.
You can add a country or a technology to the events and closing-date addresses, as the form above does: for example ?country=de or ?tech=computing. A technology the portal does not know gives an empty feed whose name says so, never the whole feed.
How to subscribe
Subscribe, do not import: an imported file is a copy that never changes. Your calendar app decides how often it reads the feed again; some apps take a day or more.
Google Calendar
- Copy the feed address.
- Open Google Calendar on a computer. Subscriptions cannot be added in the phone app, but they show there afterwards.
- Next to "Other calendars", select the plus sign (+), then "From URL".
- Paste the address and select "Add calendar".
Outlook
- Copy the feed address.
- In Outlook on the web or the new Outlook: open the calendar, select "Add calendar", then "Subscribe from web".
- In classic Outlook for Windows: open the calendar, select "Add calendar", then "From Internet".
- Paste the address, give the calendar a name and confirm.
Apple Calendar
- On a Mac: open Calendar, choose File, then "New Calendar Subscription", paste the address and select Subscribe.
- On an iPhone or iPad: open Settings, then Calendar, Accounts (or Calendar Accounts), Add Account, Other and "Add Subscribed Calendar". Paste the address and select Next. Where Calendar sits in Settings depends on the iOS version.
- On an Apple device, the "Subscribe in your calendar app" link above usually opens Calendar directly.
Your own feed: my interests
Members get one private feed with the events and closing dates that match the countries and technologies they chose.
- Choose your countries and technologies
- Find your private feed address in My Quantum Europe
- Join Quantum Europe (free)
The private address contains a secret code, not your email address. Anyone who has it can see which dates match your interests, so keep it to yourself. You can replace it at any time; the old address then stops working.
Good to know
- The country of an event is read from its place as the organiser wrote it, so an event whose place names no country is only in the all-countries feed. Online events are in every country feed.
- Open EU calls are for all countries, so they are in every country feed. A tender or job is in the feed of its own country.
- The technology is found by keywords of the shared quantum taxonomy in the title and summary. An entry that names no technology is only in the all-technologies feed.
- Feeds list at most 200 events and 300 closing dates, soonest first, and are refreshed within the hour.
