Technology map of European quantum projects

Who takes part in which part of the quantum supply chain: every participation of an organisation in an EU-funded quantum project, from the kind of organisation, through the supply-chain segment and hardware platform of the project, to its application pillar. Wider ribbons mean more participations. Select a category to see its connections and leading companies.

2747 participations in 712 of 1256 projects, in 27 categories

Select a category in the diagram, or use Tab and Enter, to see its connections and leading companies.

Method: one participation is one organisation in one project. The kind of organisation is its CORDIS activity type (companies are private for-profit entities; SMEs as CORDIS flags them). Supply-chain segments use the same title keywords as the supply-chain page, hardware platforms are keyword matches on project titles, and the pillar is the confirmed classification of the project, as counted on the technology hubs (an editor decision or a high-precision taxonomy rule); a project without one is drawn under “No confirmed pillar”, never under a default pillar. Projects whose title names neither a segment nor a platform are not shown. A participation in a project with several segments or platforms is split evenly between them; the counts are whole participations. Public project data only, not a census of the supply chain. Source: CORDIS, Publications Office of the European Union (Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe only; quantum projects of other EU programmes, such as Digital Europe, are counted on the funding trends page, not here).

European quantum supply chain in EU-funded projects: every segment with its projects, companies and SMEs.

Patents, actors and a dated brief for one technology: the technology intelligence pages bring the sources of this map together per technology.

Explore every technology on the technology hub One page per pillar and technology family, with the parts of its platform.
